WEST is a dynamic learning community that is designed by and for women. Our mission is to help more women enter & flourish in increasingly important and necessary technical roles by providing more direct support, advocacy, and community development.

Develop & Retain 

The objective is to create a mentorship program that brings together women across company boundaries with the goal of developing and retaining women in technology. Mentoring has been recognized as an effective practice to increase the representation of women in tech.

1:1 Mentors

Professionals in technical roles will serve as 1:1 mentors to a class of women in the early to middle-stages of their careers. These early and mid-career women engage in a 6-month partnership with their mentor to support their growth and development in their technical career.

WEST sponsors are leading tech companies committed to diversity and inclusion. By giving women in technical roles opportunities to connect with the broader community, WEST is helping sponsors develop their next generation of female leaders and role models.

Sponsorship Levels

WEST sponsors will connect women in their organization to other industry professionals, expanding their networks and supporting their growth and development. They’ll also have the opportunity to promote themselves as champions of WEST’s vision. We also ask WEST sponsors to nominate mentors for the program at a ratio of 2:1 for the number of mentees. This helps us build a broad mentor pool to support making the best possible matches.   

Opportunities to host in person events (panel discussions, peer groups, etc.), webinars, and publish thought leader content are available.

WEST has partnered with Everwise to deliver this mentoring experience. With Everwise, participants have access to a social learning platform that connects them with content and community. Mentors and mentees also have an Experience Manager, who serves as an on-demand guide for participants working through their journey.

Winter Cohort

The Winter Cohort will launch on February 13, 2018.
The deadline for sponsoring is Jan 22, 2018, so apply now by filling out the form below. 

We launch WEST mentees in cohorts so we can gather data and insights on the participant experience and the overall program. This helps us measure the impact we're having and also learn how we can improve.
